If planning to use inserts to pad the footbed, seriously consider sizing up half size. If you vary between sizes, take the larger size (for example, if you take a 7 to 7 1/2 depending on the style of the shoe, go with the 7 1/2). The rubber sole provides quite a bit of comfort while walking. The suede is nice and soft and softens up and forms around your foot during wear, so you might expect a little more give in the shoe as they are broken in. Possibly enough give to accommodate wide widths, but that depends on how much you can tolerate in a tight shoe.
Be aware that the suede is slightly "distressed" and there are some "bald" spots on the toe and the back of the heel.
